Getting started

Selaro is an AI thinking partner for big life decisions. It asks the questions you haven't asked yourself, notices contradictions in your thinking, and helps you see your situation from angles you hadn't considered. It ends deep conversations with a Perspective Card — a structured map of what's really at stake.
Yes. The free plan lets you try Selaro with a limited amount of usage each month — no credit card required to sign up. Paid plans (Thinker and Deep) give you much more usage, memory across conversations, Perspective Cards, and access to more powerful AI models.
Create a free account at selaro.ai/signup. You can start your first conversation immediately — no setup required.
No. Selaro runs entirely in your browser.
Yes. On the sign-in or sign-up page, choose "Continue with Google" to use your Google account — no separate password to create or remember.

Using Selaro

Selaro works best for significant personal decisions — career changes, relationship choices, whether to move, how to handle a difficult situation, major life transitions. It's not designed for quick practical questions or factual lookups.
After a deeper conversation (usually 6-10 exchanges), Selaro offers to generate a Perspective Card — a structured summary of what's really at stake in your decision. It includes: what you're actually deciding (which is often different from how you first described it), what you've said you value, the tension underneath the decision, three different ways to see the situation, and the question you haven't answered yet. Perspective Cards are available on paid plans and can be saved from within the conversation.
Usage is measured by how much thinking each conversation needs. A standard message uses the least; deeper conversations and generating a Perspective Card use more. Your usage resets at the start of each billing period and doesn't roll over — you can see your monthly usage anytime in Settings → Billing.

These are Selaro's three AI models, each progressively more capable:

  • Thinker — fast, efficient. Used for lighter exchanges and background tasks.
  • Thinker+ — the standard model for most conversations. Thoughtful and capable.
  • Deep — Selaro's most powerful model. Used automatically for deeper conversations, Perspective Card generation, and complex reasoning. Uses more of your monthly usage per message.
Journey is a visual timeline of your conversations with Selaro, organized month by month. It shows what topics you've explored and the themes that have emerged over time. Available on paid plans.
On paid plans, Selaro remembers things across conversations — your values, patterns of thinking, and decisions you're working through. This means each new conversation can pick up where the last one left off, and Selaro gets more useful the more you use it. You can view and manage your memory in Settings → Memory.

Privacy and data

Yes. Your conversations are never used to train AI models. Selaro is hosted in Europe and operated under EU law (GDPR). You can export or delete all your data at any time.
Only you. Selaro staff do not read your conversations. Your data is processed by Anthropic's API to generate responses — Anthropic does not use API data for training.
Go to Settings → Profile → Data and Privacy → Request data export. Your data downloads immediately as a JSON file containing your account details, conversations, memory profile, and saved Perspective Cards.
Go to Settings → Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes all your conversations, memory, and account data. This action cannot be undone.

Billing and subscriptions

Go to Settings → Billing → Upgrade, or visit selaro.ai/upgrade. Upgrades happen right here in Selaro — you're charged the prorated difference and the new plan is active immediately.
Go to Settings → Billing → Switch to Free — it all happens right here in Selaro. Your subscription continues until the end of the current billing period, then drops to the free plan. You can reactivate before it ends.
No. Credits reset at the start of each billing period. Unused credits from the previous period are not carried over.
Your conversations and memory are kept until you delete your account. Cancelling your subscription doesn't delete your data — it just limits future usage to the free plan.

Troubleshooting

Check your internet connection. If the issue persists, try refreshing the page. If you see a banner indicating a service issue, we're aware of it and working on it — follow updates on our Discord or Twitter/X.
On the sign-in page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a reset link.
Check your spam folder. If you still can't find our emails, contact support@selaro.ai.
Use the thumbs-down button on any response to send us feedback. You can also report an issue via the "Report an issue" option in the sidebar.
